University of Notre Dame Sweatshirt

When he was twelve years old, he slept in his University of Notre Dame sweatshirt one night before his big basketball game against his arch rival team the Vikings. He wore the sweatshirt all the way through breakfast, driving over to the game and throughout warm-ups. He wound up with twenty-six points and ten rebounds as his team beat the Vikings by double digits.

The following year in soccer he wore the University of Notre Dame sweatshirt for three days straight before the championship soccer match in middle school. All of his schoolmates thought he was a tad crazy but no one wanted to mess up his superstitions if it was going to bring a championship. Sure enough, his middle school won seven to one and took the championship back home with them.

The next big game he had was in baseball. The opposing team caught wind of what his University of Notre Dame sweatshirt was doing for his confidence and his team. They decided to pull the prank of all pranks and go take his University of Notre Dame sweatshirt from him.

They took his sweatshirt but Paul and his teammates still won the big game. Paul realized at that point he did not need his University of Notre Dame sweatshirt for good luck anymore.
